RADIANT- HEAT FLOOR SYSTEM
works great under hardwood, tile, vinyl or carpetry
This type of heating system continues to rise in popularity. It uses electric cables (electric) or small tubes of hot water (hydronic) embedded in a concrete floor or under a tiled floor. It consists of runs of tubing looped back and forth under the surface of the floor. As hot water courses through the tubing, heat is released and the entire floor becomes a big, gentle radiator.Comfort is the prime factor. The human body uses the feet and head to dispose of excess heat. Because of this, warming the floor is not only physically pleasing, but the room will feel warmer than it actually is, allowing for lower temperature settings and fuel conservation.

Benefits of radiant heating system

Comfort - consistent steady heat that keeps your environment evenly warm and toasty with virtually every flooring material. Think of walking barefoot on your warmed hardwood kitchen floor while snowflakes fall outside. A properly designed radiant system generates no noise from the operation of forced-air fans or the sound of rushing air. The only sound is from the operation of the gas or oil burner on the boiler.
Health - With hydronic radiant heating, only 5% of the heat transfer is by convection. Room air circulation is extremely gentle, and does not aggravate allergy or asthma symptoms (no dry air blowing dust and allergens around). This is the ideal system for anyone bothered by allergies. Comfortably warm feet and a cool head is an old recipe for good health.
Efficiency - save between 10 and 30 % in energy use vs. forced-air heat. This is due to the low operating system water temperatures. Additionally you can set your thermostat lower and still be more comfortable with a warm floor and warmed objects around you; there's less heat loss through walls and ceilings and from open doors and windows.
Versatility - can be installed in new construction and existing homes; over wood or concrete floors; you can heat only the rooms you use, rather than a whole house. With no vents, radiators or cold air returns, you can put furniture wherever you want.
Reliability - floor heating systems are virtually maintenance free and the heating element is backed with a 25 year industry-leading warranty. With no moving parts and advanced self-diagnosing technology, there is no need for yearly maintenance or service checks.

RADIATORS HEAT CURVE
the heat occurs by convection - hot air is created at the ceiling and cold air at the floor
IDEAL HEAT CURVE
the warmest temperature is at the floor level and cooler temperature at head and ceiling level
FLOOR HEATING CURVE
close to the ideal conditions - heat higher near the floor, lower near the ceiling level

Heat Transfer Plate System -
Installs under subfloors where existing floors cannot be removed. The 75% aluminum coverage of the subfloor results in higher efficiency and lower water temperatures.
Concrete System - ideal for garages, basements, pools or anywhere a new slab will be poured whether or not it will be put to immediate use. This is one of the lowest cost radiant installation. Thin-Slab System - provides efficient and even heat transfer and has its advantages when installing certain finish floors such as stone, marble or tile. Not practical for hardwood flooring.
